Hamirpur: A female judicial officer has lodged a case against the lawyer at Kotwali police station accusing him of stalking and making obscene comments, police sources said here.

Police sources said that the officer in her complaint has stated that she joined on July 5. "She has claimed that since then lawyer Mohammad Harun had been following her. "The officer has alleged that on July 25 when she went for a walk near the river Harun followed her and made obscene comments," they said.

Police sources said that initially the officer ignored the lawyer, but he continued with his activities. "The officer has claimed that once she even warned the lawyer and asked him to mend his ways, but he continued to stalk her," they said.

Police sources said that the officer contacted the police on Saturday after Harun repeated his activities at around 8 pm on August 18.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Anup Kumar said that on the complaint a case has been lodged against the lawyer under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). "Evidence is being collected and legal action will be taken soon," he said. (UNI)
