Raipur: Immediately after Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s statement that nobody is above the law, a first information report was registered on Sunday in the state capital against his 86-year-old father Nand Kumar in the wake of a video that is going viral and contains the accused’s comments against Brahmins.
The law-enforcement action followed a complaint by two members of the caste in question.
Earlier, the Chief Minister said, “My father’s remarks against a certain section injured communal harmony and the words saddened me as well. It is universally known that I have ideological differences with my sire from the beginning.” (UNI)
