Varanasi: Four people were killed and seven others critically injured in a blast in a house in the Pitarkunda locality in Chetganj area of the temple city here. Police sources here today said that the explosion rocked the house last night and most of the deceased died after the old building collapsed. The deceased were identified as Zeba, Amina, Shaba and Sarfraz.
The injured were admitted to hospital. Police said that the NDRF sleuths were summoned after the incident and they recovered the bodies. Preliminary probe suggests that illegal crackers were stored in the house and it caused the explosion. However, police was investigating the case. (UNI)
