Palakkad: In a tragic incident, four members of a family, including two minor daughters, residing in a rented house at Kootupatha near Lakkidi end their lives by jumping into Thadayana (Check dam) of Bharathapuzha river at Lakkidi on Saturday. According to Ottapalam police, the deceased were identified as Ajith Kumar (37), a saloon worker, his wife Viji (34) and two daughters Aswanandha (14) and Aryanandha (6).
The incident took place in the afternoon on Saturday. Police said that a suicide note and mobile phone were recovered from the riverside. Reports said that Ajith Kumar was an accused in the murder of his uncle in 2012. The trial of the case was going on. (UNI)
