Chennai: In a freak incident, a 20-year-old college student, died of serious burns aftr he fell into a hot sambar vessel in a marriage hall at suburban Ponneri in adjoining Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu last evening.
Police said the deceased student was identified as Satish.
He was studying in a private college and was working part time for a catering service, when the tragedy occurred.
When Satish and others were readying to serve food, he fell into a big vessel in which sambar was being prepared and suffered serious burns.
Immediately, the co-workers rushed him to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to burns. (UNI)
