A 0.5 percent dip in India’s GDP growth in 2016-17

New Delhi: The growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during 2016-17 has been estimated at 7 point 1 per cent against 7 point 6 per cent in 2015-16, according to government data released today.

The real GDP in the year under-review is likely to attain a level of Rs 121.55 lakh crore as compared to the provisional estimate of GDP for the year 2015-16 of Rs 113.50 lakh crore. There are few sectors which recorded a growth of over seven per cent that include public administration, defence, financial, real estate and professional services and manufacturing. (UNI)
