Giraffe Lakshmi gives birth to male calf at Mysuru Zoo

Mysuru: Century-year-old Mysuru zoo announced the birth of a male Giraffe on Wednesday.

In a statement, the executive director of the zoo - Ajit Kulkarni, said a male Giraffe calf was born on to the parents Lakshmi and Bharath. This is the fourth calf of Lakshmi.

Mysuru Zoo has a birth record of 22 Giraffe calves (17 males and 5 females) till date.

At present, the Giraffe calf is healthy and Lakshmi is taking good care of her young one. (UNI)
