New Delhi: The Lok Sabha today passed the Finance Bill, 2017 by voice vote after walkout by Opposition Members from parties, including the Congress, the Biju Janata Dal, the Left and Trinamool Congress, on different issues. This ends a crucial phase of the mandatory parliamentary provisions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present on the occasion. The Finance Bill 2017 with 29 Amendments that envisages 38 news clauses will now go to the Rajya Sabha and then to the President for his assent. On receipt of assent, the Bill will become a law. (UNI)
