Haj Houses to be utilised as temporary COVID Care Centre: Naqvi

New Delhi: Ministry of Minority Affairs on Monday announced that it has been decided to give Haj Houses in different states of the country to the state governments to utilise them as temporary “Covid Care Centre”.

“It has been decided to give Haj Houses in different states of the country to the State Governments to utilize them as temporary “Corona Care Centre”,” Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said in a tweet.

“All the State Haj Committees have been directed to assist the respective State Governments/Administration to utilize the Haj Houses as temporary “Corona Care Centre” for health and well-being of the people in fight against Corona pandemic,” Mr Naqvi said in another tweet.

The State Haj Committee Houses which will be given to the State Governments to utilize them as temporary “Corona Care Centre” are in Gujarat (Ahmedabad), Karnataka (Bengaluru), Kerala (Calicut), Delhi, Telangana (Hyderabad), West Bengal (Kolkata), Madhya Pradesh (Bhopal),
Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow), Uttar Pradesh (Ghaziabad), Maharashtra (Nagpur), Jammu and Kashmir (Srinagar), Tamil Nadu (Chennai), Rajasthan (Jaipur), Bihar (Patna), Jharkhand (Ranchi) and Tripura (Agartala). (UNI)
