Ceasefire violation: 50 BoPs under fire , BSF jawan martyred , 8 injured, a Pak Ranger killed

Jammu: Cross border firing by Pakistan using small arms and mortars along more than 50 border out-posts(BoPs) in Jammu region since this morning left one BSF jawan martyred and eight civilians injured. One Pakistan Ranger is also reportedly killed in retaliatory firing by the Border Security Force, reports reaching here said. "Pakistan in a fresh ceasefire violation shelled using mortars and small arms at forward villages in Hiranagar Sector of Kathua and fired heavily since 1820 hours at forward Khowara, Mangu Chak, Chak Dulma, Katuo BoPs in Samba sector,’’ official sources said.(UNI)
