New Delhi: Ace India spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja scripted history after occupying the top two spots in the latest ICC Test rankings for bowlers.Jadeja scalped his maiden 10-wicket haul in the last test match against England which helped him grab the second spot.
His 66 points brought him closer to already number one placed Ashwin and is trailng behind by eight points.Ashwin completed with 28 wickets while Jadeja bagged 26 wickets after the five match test series against England which concluded yesterday in Chennai.The Saurashtra cricketer is now followed by Josh Hazlewood, James Anderson, Dale Steyn and Rangana Herath.
Among the pacers Ishant Sharma slid ahead two places to 23rd position.
On the other hand, KL Rahul's knock of 199 runs in the Chennai test helped him move ahead 29 places to be at 51st position while Karun Nair's sensational triple ton propelled him 122 slots ahead to 55th rank.In the team's rankings, the Virat Kohli-led side continues to be at the top with 120 points, followed by Australia in the second spot with 105 points.
