New Delhi: Young Mumbai batsman Shreyas Iyer has been called as a cover for injured India skipper Virat Kohli for the fourth and the final Test against Australia in Dharamsala, starting on Saturday.The 22-year-old, who has been included in the national side late last night, was called after Kohli skipped team's net session yesterday as he is nursing an injury on his right shoulder.
Kohli sustained a shoulder injury while he was trying to save a boundary in Australia's first innings in the last Test at Ranchi.Now, Kohli's inclusion in the playing eleven depends on the fitness test, which will be conducted this morning session.
Notably, Iyer slammed a double hundred in the warm-up game against Australia last month in Mumbai and has also performed well in the the last two Ranji season.(UNI)
