Impressed with Kejriwal's good governance, THESE Punjab sportspersons make beeline to join AAP

These famous sportspersons have embraced AAP after being impressed with Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's pro-people policies and good governance.

AAP Punjab affairs in-charge and MLA from Delhi Jarnail Singh, MLA from Ropar Amarjit Singh Sandoa, party’s Sports Wing state president Kartar Singh and AAP’s state general secretary Harchand Singh Barsat, inducted and welcomed the prominent personalities in the party during a press conference held here on Thursday.

Shining the name of Punjab and India, nationally and internationally; gymnast Sohan Lal Lotey, Rockball Amateur Association Punjab president Dharamvir Singh, former SP Pargat Singh, social worker Sukhwinder Singh Khushropur, former DSP and wrestler, who won Sher-e-Hind and Punjab Tiger title, Piara Singh, former police officer Baj Singh, former DSP Avtar Singh and prominent Ludhiana social activist Gurcharan Singh Rajput joined the Aam Aadmi Party.

Welcoming these national and international sportspersons along with the former police officers, Jarnail Singh said the people from all walks of life were joining the AAP as they were impressed by the pro-people policies of the party and the work of Delhi’s Arvind Kejriwal government.

He said the Aam Aadmi Party will come to power in Punjab under the guidance of these great sportspersons, former police officers and social activists. On the occasion, Sohan Lal Lotey said they will bring Arvind Kejriwal's government to eradicate corruption from Punjab. Meanwhile, Piara Singh said Punjab is currently mired in corruption.

In Punjab, whether it was Akali or the Congress in power; the rule of running the government had been to loot, he said. They said the sportspersons from Punjab are now on the field to change the regime of these dishonest parties and form an honest government of the Aam Aadmi Party. (UNI)
