India thrash England by an innings and 36 runs to clinch the series

Mumbai, Dec 12 (UNI) India defeated England by an innings and 36 runs to claim 3-0 lead here today in the fourth test of five match series.

Resuming with overnight score of 182/6 the tourists still trailing by 49 runs continued the fifth day as they were all out for 195 in the morning session today.

Ravichandran Ashwin proved once again the tormentor in chief for a visiting team as he claimed 12 wichets in tthe match, 6 wickets in each innings.

Virat Kohli got the Man of the Match award for his masterful 235 runs.

Final test of the series will be played in Chennai from friday.
