Srinagar: Two policemen were injured in a militant attack in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday evening, officials sources said.
According to the sources, the attack took place at Manzgam area of Damhal Hanjipora, Kulgam when a police party was moving in the area.
"Both the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital," they said.
The area has been cordoned-off and a manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
Police has yet not issued any statement on the attack.
The attack took place at a time when militants have stepped up attacks on the civilians. Seven civilians, including four members from the minority community, have been killed in various attacks in the past one week. (UNI)
