Jammu: Alert troops of BSF on Saturday detected 150 metres long tunnel along the international border in Pansar village of Hiranagar tehsil in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official spokesman here said that on specific intelligence inputs, troops of BSF detected a 150m long and 30 feet deep tunnel this morning during an Anti-Tunneling drive-in area of Pansar area.

“Ahead of Republic Day celebrations, an alert is sounded across the region and as a part of ongoing exercise, a tunnel was detected,” he added.

This is the fourth tunnel detected by BSF in last six months in Samba, Hiranagar and Kathua area and tenth in the Jammu Region.
