Khunti: A son beat his old age parents to death over the want of money in Sildon village under Khunti Police Station area of this district.
The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Mahto (65) and his wife Pital Devi (60). Upon receiving information a police team reached the village and sent the body for post-mortem.
Police quoting relatives said that on Tuesday night the culprit Ramkumar Mahto had a dispute with his father over the want of money. In heat of the moment, he picked a stick and beat his parents to death after which he fled from the spot.
A fir, in this case, has been registered police said adding that raids are on to nab the culprit. (UNI)
