New Delhi, Feb 16 (UNI) Charging the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi and the BJP led Government at the Centre with selling “false dreams” to people, the Congress today said people want the party back in power not only in Delhi but also in the country.

Addressing district conventions of the Congress party in the run-up to the municipal corporation elections, scheduled in April, Delhi Congress chief and AICC spokesperson Ajay Maken said, "People had voted for the BJP and the AAP to give Mr Narendra Modi and Mr Arvind Kejriwal an opportunity to rule at the Centre and in Delhi respectively, seeing big dreams through their promises. But now, all those dreams have been shattered."

Maken said that the people are disillusioned with the AAP in Delhi and the BJP at the Centre and now want the Congress back in power as only this party can provide stable and able governments.

"The desire of people for change (in Delhi and at the Centre) has been evident from the huge response to the district conventions being organised by the Delhi Congress across the Capital to protest against misrule of BJP in MCDs and Aam Aadmi Party’s two-year rule in Delhi,' said Maken.
