Kabul suicide blast kills at least 24, wounds 40, official says

Kabul: A suicide car bombing in the Afghan capital, Kabul, today killed at least 24 people and wounded 40, doubling earlier casualty estimates, acting Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish said.

Police said earlier that a suicide attacker had detonated a car bomb in the western part of Kabul, although the target of the attack remained unclear.
