Karnataka: Prohibitory orders clamped near Kalaburagi after altercation during Ram procession

Kalaburagi: The Karnataka government on Tuesday clamped prohibitory orders at Wadi in Kalaburagi district following an altercation during a procession to commemorate Pran Prathista of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya temple.
 
"It was just a heated argument that escalated into an altercation. Our force soon brought the situation under control. There is no tension in the area, but as a precautionary measure, prohibitory orders have been imposed in Wadi area of ??Chittapur taluk," the police said.
 
The incident took place late Monday night, and the situation is under control, police said.
 
The prohibitory orders will remain in force till 6 am on January 25, the police said and added that they are trying to identify the culprits and take action as per law against them.
