New Delhi: After his party's debacle in Punjab Assembly polls, Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal today alleged foul play in functioning of Electronic Voting Machines and said that 20-25 per cent of AAP's votes were transferred to the SAD-BJP alliance to benefit Congress. "There is a speculation that 20-25 per cent votes of AAP was transferred through EVMs to BJP-SAD alliance in Punjab to benefit the Congress as they wanted us to lose any way.

I demand that EC should count slips of Voter-Verified Paper Audit Trail and match it with figures of EVMs results if it matches people's trust will increase," the AAP convenor told a press conference this morning. On asking about Delhi and Bihar Assembly polls, Mr Kejriwal said, "People who tampered EVMs, should answer why they didn't do so in both the states.
I think teir party (BJP) was over confident of winning Delhi and Bihar." Citing Developed countries had given up use of EVMs, Mr Kejriwal said, 'We should rethink on the issue.

BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani had also said that EVMs can be tampered.' Accepting his party's debacle in Goa and Punjab in the Assembly polls, the Delhi Chief Minister said, "Results in both the states were very shocking for us. Being Convenor of the party, I take all the responsibility for AAP's poor performance." (UNI)
