Landslide at Kavnai in Nashik

Part of Kavanai Fort in Igatpuri Taluka of Nashik District collapsed on Friday, sources said on Saturday.Fortunately, there was no loss of life or property, Nashik Guardian Minister Dada Bhuse has informed.

Kavanai Fort is a fort in the Nashik district of Maharashtra. 7 km west of Ghoti village on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway. The fort is known as Kawanai Fort from the village of Kawanai located in the distance. Part of this fort is ruined now.

Guardian Minister Dadaji Bhuse said ''I have spoken to the provinces, tehsils, and local citizens. The situation is under control. There are two houses in Viturli Shivara''.

The family of the house have been immediately shifted to Gavthan.The Tehsildar himself is monitoring the situation at that place. Instructions have been given to all concerned agencies to be alert to avoid any untoward incident.

Trekkers should also avoid going to hills, forts, or dangerous places as it is raining now.
He has appealed to the citizens to contact the Collector's Office Disaster Management Department as well as the Nashik District Guardian Minister's Office if they have any problems.

The upper part of the Kawanai fort in the taluka has collapsed.There was no loss of life or money Igatpuri Tehsildar has reached the incident site, and the citizens living in the fields at the foot of the fort have been informed to go to a safe place in the village.
