Left to mobilize all non-BJP CMs against Centre's cattle slaughter ban

New Delhi: The CPI-M will mobilise all non-BJP Chief Ministers against the Centre’s notification banning sale of cattle for slaughter. The issue came up for discussion at today’s meeting of the CPI-M Polit Bureau here. Party general secretary Sitaram Yechury said a large number of non-BJP state governments had opposed the ban.

‘’The Kerala Chief Minister has appealed to all the non-BJP CMs to jointly oppose this move on the ground of violation of the rights of the states. This is an issue on which we shall take the initiative and hold meetings with the major non-BJP CMs,’’ he said quoting a polit bureau statement. (UNI)
