Patna: To prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the state where the situation was by and large grim, the lockdown has been extended for another ten days till May 25 with some strictness in the state.
The decision for the extension of the lockdown from May 15 till May 25 was taken in a meeting of a crisis management group held under the chairmanship of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
In the meeting, it was found that the lockdown imposed earlier on May 5, had a positive impact as the number of positive cases declined but the situation was still grim in view of which it was decided to extend it for further 10 days from May 16 till May 25.
After reviewing the situation of lockdown with his cabinet colleagues and senior officers, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar informed this through his official tweet on social media. (UNI)
