Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh government has decided to conduct training sessions for Madarsa teachers in the state to make them more adept at the online mode of teaching.

An Online training programme was organized by the Madrasa Board on Wednesday. Member of Language Committee Danish Azad, Registrar Madrasa Board RP Singh, District Minority Officers (DMOs) and educationists of many districts took part in the programme.

Online education of students has started in Madrasas during the COVID-19 period. UP Madarsa Board in collaboration with Language Committee is conducting Division-wise training sessions for teachers on taking online teaching classes for students. In this, educationists and counsellors associated with the Board of Secondary Education and many DMOs are giving subject training to Madrasa teachers.

Since online teaching is a major challenge for teachers these days, during the session, the Madarsa teachers were told how to teach children in a simpler way. The discussions are on with a few former and present IIT and IIM students to provide online education training to madrasa teachers. Many such students have agreed to impart the training to the Madarsa teacher of the State.

Former Vice Chancellors, Retired Administrative Officers are also ready to join this training program.

The message of the state government is clear that online education is the need of the hour. In such a situation, teachers should prepare themselves for this. The provision of online applications is also there through which the teachers can directly connect with the students.

In fact, the Chief Minister, during a recent meeting, had given instructions to start online education of madrasa students. (UNI)
