Madhya pardesh to get hi-tech jails

Indore: The Madhya Pradesh Government has sanctioned establishment of a high-tech penitentiary each here and in Burhanpur. “In the near future, commando training shall be imparted to correctional facilities’ guards. Prisons will be electrically fenced to prevent recurrence of incidents such as the Bhopal jailbreak.

Outer walls are being constructed in old penitentiaries,” Director General (Prisons) Sanjay Choudhary averred today during a programme at the Rustamji Armed Police Training College where the officer also interacted with jail sentries receiving guidance. The sentinels demonstrated their skills. (UNI)
