Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra has directed a police commissioner-level inquiry – into a book penned by a professor – and registration of a first information report within 24 hours if the probe brought anything suspicious to light.

The book 'Collective Violence and Criminal Justice System' reportedly contains such content which hurts the religious sentiments of a community.

The work has been authored by the Indore-based Government New Law College’s Prof Farhat Khan.

“Action has been initiated against five individuals vis-à-vis anti-national activities at that academic institution,” Dr Mishra told media representatives here. (Inputs from UNI)
