Maharashtra Cabinet expansion: BJP irked with induction of Sanjay Rathod who was accused in Tiktok star Pooja Chavan suicide case

Mumbai: Maharashtra BJP Vice President Chitra Wagh on Tuesday strongly opposed the induction of Shiv Sena rebel MLA Sanjay Rathod as a Cabinet Minister in the Eknath Shinde government.

She tweeted that it was unfortunate that former Minister Rathod, who was blamed for the death of Pooja Chavan, has been given the post. She vowed to keep fighting him as "I believe in the god of justice".

The Marathwada region got four Cabinet Ministers.

They include Aurangabad East BJP MLA Atul Save, Sandipan Bhumre, Abdul Sattar and Prof. Tanaji Sawant.

Bhumre, a five-time MLA, and Sattar, a three-time MLA, were Ministers in the Uddhav Thackeray government who shifted their royalty to Shinde after he revolted. (UNI)
