Major tragedy averted, live grenade recovered in Baramulla

Baramulla:Security forces averted a major tragedy when they detected and defused a live grenade in this north Kashmir district on Tuesday evening, official sources said on Wednesday.

They said after peaceful celebration of 72nd Republic Day (RD) on Tuesday, normal patrolling by the security forces continued in the district.

During the patrolling by security forces at village Sherpora in Chandoosa in Baramulla, a live grenade was detected. Later, the grenade was defused without causing any damage, they said adding a case has been registered and investigation taken up.(UNI)
