Man arrested for molesting woman in Delhi Metro

New Delhi: An inebriated man was arrested on charges of molesting a woman in Delhi Metro between Noida Sector 16 and Akshardham stations, police said today. Manu Kumar (40) of Begusarai in Bihar was arrested after the victim alerted the security personnel.
He was apprehended by the police on August 16 when the complainant approached the Yamuna Bank Police Station and informed about the incident to the police. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused committed the offense under the influence of alcohol. Accordingly, a case under sections 354A/509/506 IPC was registered with the Police Station at Yamuna Bank Depot Metro Station. (UNI)
