Manipur militant involved in backdoor school-college admission

Imphal: Manipur Police have arrested three militants allegedly involved in various illegal activities during operations launched during the last 24 hours.

Police said on Monday that one of them was involved in fraudulent admission to educational institutions.

Police said that they apprehended a militant from Moirang Sendra Road, near Koireng statue, under Moirang-PS, Bishnupur District.

In another operation security forces detained a militant in the Yaingangpokpi area, Imphal East. He was involved in prejudicial activities like extortion of money from parents by promising backdoor admission at schools and colleges, police alleged.

Manipur Police arrested a militant from Patsoi Part-I village under Patsoi-PS, Imphal West District.
