Mathura turns into a fortress ahead of Hindu outfit's 'Jal Abhishek' in Shree Krishna Janamsthan on 6 Dec

Mathura: The temple city of Mathura near Shree Krishna Janamsthan has turned into a fortress on the eve of the day when the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was brought down in 1992, extra vigilance is being maintained after some organisations had announced their plans to perform 'Jal Abhishek' at the Shree Krishna Janamsthan on Monday.

Central forces including RAF has been deployed near the Shree Krishna Janamsthan and the adjoining Idgah.

An organisation named Shree Krishna Janambhoomi Muktidal has announced to march to Mathura tomorrow from different parts of the state and to perform 'Jal Abhishek' at the Shree Krishna Janamsthan.

The issue of Mathura also turned political after state Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya had tweeted that after Kashi and Ayodhya, now people should be ready for Krishna Janamsthan.

Meanwhile, in Mathura on December 6, no vehicles would be allowed to go near the Shri Krishna birthplace and Idgah, SP Traffic Harendra Kumar here on Sunday said.

The traffic restrictions will remain the same from Sunday to Tuesday.

In Mathura district, 2100 police and para military personnel have been deployed around religious places.

According to SP City Martand Prakash Singh, security has been divided into two super zones, four zones and eight sectors. Those who disturb the atmosphere will be dealt with strictly. (UNI)
