Miraculous escape for 25 students as school bus overturns into canal

Eluru: As many as 25 school students and their teacher had a miraculous escape when their school bus overturned into an agriculture canal at Yandagandi village in Undi mandal on Monday.

Police said the 25 students of a private school were going to school along with their teacher. The bus suddenly veered off the road and overturned into an agriculture canal.

The farmers in the nearby fields rushed and rescued the students from the ill-fated bus. Two students, Akhil Durga Dhanaraj and Srimannarayana suffered minor injuries in the mishap while all others escaped unhurt.

As per the preliminary inquiry the steering of the school bus was struck which led to the accident. (UNI)
