Gonda: Asaram, who has been in Rajasthan's Jodhpur jail for nearly nine years, is once again in the headlines when body of a girl was found in a car parked at Asaram's ashram in Gonda on Friday.
The girl was missing for the last four days. Now the police is investigation the case and have sealed the ashram, police sources here said.
Police said the body of a teenager girl, who was missing since late evening on April 5 in Gonda, was found in a car parked in Asaram's ashram premises in Vimaur village of Kotwali town on the Gonda-Bahraich road on Friday.
The girl had gone missing from the house on the late evening of April 5. In this case, the relative of the girl had filed a kidnapping case against three people.
After bad smell emerged from the car parked in the ashram, the watchman saw the dead body in the car, and thereafter police was informed late last night.
DM Dr. Ujjwal Kumar and SP Santosh Kumar Mishra reached the spot after getting information about the recovery of the body of the girl.
Five police teams have been engaged to expose the incident and arrest the accused. Dog squad and forensic team were also on the spot.
On the other hand, many people including the sevadar of the ashram have been taken into custody by the police.
The SP Santosh Kumar said the teenager, a resident of a village in the city Kotwali, had gone missing from the house on the late evening of April 5.
In this case, his family informed on April 6 at Misraulia post. When the teenager was not traced after a lot of searching, on April 7, her father filed a kidnapping case against three people.
The police got information about the girl's body lying in a car parked in Asaram's ashram premises on the Gonda-Bahraich road late on Thursday night.
The SP told that he himself reached with the DM. The girl was identified.
The SP said the cause of death would be known after the post-mortem report comes. The rape can be confirmed only after the report comes.
