Mumbai: The city police have arrested a 36-year-old woman who allegedly spiked the drink of another woman and had her raped by her husband.
The 22-year-old woman lodged a complaint after which police immediately arrested accused woman and are searching for her husband, police said.
According to reports, accused, a beautician by profession, and the victim knew each other.
The victim also alleged that the accused couple demanded money from the victim by threatening to circulate the video of her sexual assault.
On refusal to pay extortion amount of Rs 10,000, accused person assaulted the victim, later the matter was reported to the Malwani police, who have arrested the woman, while her husband is absconding.
