New Delhi: In a major push in the ongoing party expansion works across the country, BJP chief Amit Shah will enlist the services of about 30 Kashmiri Muslim youths, according to party sources here. The announcement to this effect was made by Mr Shah in Jammu today at a meeting of party workers and local leaders. The participation of Muslim Kashimiri youth in BJP's expansion plans come at a time when there are some operational hiccups in the relations between BJP and the PDP even as both the parties are running a coalition regime.
Mr Shah was in Jammu as part of his 95-day tour of the country to take stock of the party's organisational works and to ensure party's deeper penetration at the booth level. BJP sources said participation of Kashmiri Muslim youth at BJP's nationwide expansion plans, especially in states where the saffron party has organisational weaknesses, is an "encouraging" development.
