Mumbai: A special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court hearing the drugs cases related to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput has allowed an accused to travel to the UK for a year for further studies with certain riders.

Accused, Abdil Parihar, pleaded before the court that as an Architect having completed his course and had applied for a course titled MSc. Project Management (Construction) FT at Nottingham, Trent University in the UK, he has received an offer letter from the university and would like to pursue it.

Parihar could travel to the UK in September.

His advocate argued that the right to travel abroad and the right to practice any profession are the rights recognised by the Constitution of India. He also told the court that Parihar undertakes to attend the Court as and when summoned.

Special Judge VV Patil in his order said that on perusal of documents, it is clear that the applicant intends to join the university for education purposes as claimed by him.

The court noted the 23-year-old architect has accepted the offer of the university for his further studies.

The court said, the application was liable to be allowed with certain conditions from September onwards. (UNI)
