Anna Hazare appears before CBI court in Nimbalkar murder case

Mumbai: A CBI court on Tuesday recorded the statement of social activist Anna Hazare as a witness in 2006 murder case of Congress leader Pawan Raje Nimbalkar. Former NCP MP Padamsinh Patil, from Osmanabad, who is an accused in this case and presently out on bail, was present in the court. 
While recording the statement, Mr Hazare said Patil had given him a threat for life and in this regard he had made a written complaint to the Prime Minister and Chief Minister but no action was taken.
 
He also said that since Patil was a relative of the then chief minister Sharad Pawar his application was not heard.Further recording of statement is in progress.(UNI)
