Bhubaneswar: Kanti Mallick @ Amita, a top woman cadre Maoist of the KKBN division surrendered before the Kandhamal SP on Sunday.
Kandhamal SP Vinit Agarwal said Kanti joined the KKBN division of the banned CPI Maoist in 2018 and was involved in several violent activities.
The SP said she was disillusioned by the anti-people activities of the Maoists and decided to surrender before the Police.
The SP appealed to the Maoists to shun violence and join the mainstream. (UNI)
