Old notes worth 30 lakhs seized in Patna, five arrested

Patna: Police seized old currency notes worth Rs 30 lakh from an under construction apartment and arrested a builder and his four associates under Agamkuan police station area here this morning. Patna Senior Police Superintendent Manu Maharaj said that old currency notes were seized from the under construction apartment following a specific intelligence input.
 

He said that a builder Vinod Biswas suspected as the kingpin of a gang of note peddlers and his four associates were arrested from the spot. The old currency notes are in the denomination of Rs 1000, he added. An intensive interrogation of outlaws is on to nab other members of the gang, SSP added. (UNI)
