So, the former Chief Minister Omar said what is wrong with WB becoming Kashmir.

On August 5, 2019 the Centre abrogated Article 370 and 35 A besides divided the state into two Union Territories (UTs) after detaining hundreds of mainstream leaders, including three former Chief Ministers, ex-legislators, ex ministers and separatists.

He said anyway Bengalis love Kashmir and visit us in large numbers so we forgive you (Adhikari) for your stupid, tasteless comment.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter Omar said “But according to you BJP wallas Kashmir has become paradise after August 2019 so what's wrong with West Bengal becoming Kashmir? Anyway, Bengalis love Kashmir & visit us in large numbers so we forgive you your stupid, tasteless comment”.

Omar was reacting to reported statement of Adhiari which reads “If they (Trinamool Congress) come back to power, West Bengal will become Kashmir: Suvendu Adhikari, BJP candidate from Nandigram, during his speech at Muchipara, Behala yesterday”. (UNI)
