New Delhi: Former Lok Sabha Speaker and united opposition nominee Meira Kumar today filed her nomination for the Presidential elections. In show of unity, opposition leaders like Sharad Pawar (NCP), Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal, BSP leader Satish Mishra, D Raja (CPI) and Sitaram Yechury (CPI-M) were present.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Karnataka Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah, Meghalaya CM Mukul Sangma, and other opposition leaders from various parties were present when papers were filed with the office of Lok Sabha Secretary General Anoop Mishra, the Returning Officer for Presidential polls.
