Over Rs 8 crore seized by IT sleuths at law firm in South Delhi

New Delhi: The Delhi Police today raided the T and T law firm at R-89, Greater Kailash-1 in South Delhi and seized currency notes of at least Rs 8 crore, sources said.At least two crore of currency notes were in new notes circulated by the Reserve Bank of India. Yesterday, around 44 accounts were found fake when the Income Tax Department conducted a survey at the Chandni Chowk branch of Axis Bank.

Over Rs 100 crore was allegedly found in these accounts. According to the income tax authorities, over Rs 450 crore has been deposited into these accounts since the demonetisation of high tender notes. (UNI)
