New Delhi/Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday said those behind the explosion at the Punjab Police Headquarters in Mohali will not be spared and stern action will taken against them.

"I held a meeting with DGP and Intelligence officers on yesterday's incident in Mohali and took stock of the situation. Some people have been arrested," Mann told reporters.

He said that people who are trying to spoil the atmosphere of Punjab will not be spared. "I want to reiterate that those who are trying to spoil the atmosphere in Punjab will never be successful in their attempt. Strict action will be taken against them," the CM said.

He further said, "Intelligence and police officers are investigating the case. By evening it will be clear. All the culprits will be behind bars."

On Monday, an explosion occurred on the third floor of the building of Punjab Police Headquarters in Mohali.

Primary inputs suggested that it was a rocket propelled grenade attack on the intelligence office. The police later said it was a minor explosion and caused no damage. (UNI)
