PM Modi dials Mehbooba Mufti, assures central help for floods

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today spoke to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on the flood situation in the state and assured central assistance and support. "Spoke to J&K CM @MehboobaMufti on the flood situation in the state. Offered all possible support from Centre in dealing with the situation," Mr Modi said in a tweet in the morning.
 

According to reports, river Jhelum crossed the danger mark of 18 feet at Ram Munshibagh spot and was even flowing above 19 feet at some points. The state police have been put on high alert to meet any possible challenge and eventuality and emergency control rooms set up in all the districts of the valley to provide help to the people in need.
