PM Modi to spend Diwali with Jawans on border

New Delhi: In continuation with his practice of celebrating Diwali with the country's defenders, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to spend Diwali with Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans at the Mana Post along the border near Badrinath temple. The Prime Minister is scheduled to fly to the Mana post on Sunday afternoon after he greets the nation on the auspicious occasion through his monthly broadcast 'Mann ki baat', sources in the know said.

Mr Modi had celebrated his first diwali after his elevation to the top post at the world's highest battlefield in Siachen in chilling temperature. The PM had encouraged the people to send their diwali greetings to their brothers posted at the borders saying 'Your wishes will certainly make our forces very happy. This Diwali, let us remember our courageous armed forces who constantly protect our nation. Jai Hind. When 125 crore people stand with soldiers, their power increases by 125 crore." (UNI)
