POCSO case registered against Hubby for impregnating minor wife, 2nd case in Pondy this month

Puducherry:Police on Thursday evening registered a case under Prevention of Child Sexual Offence (POCSO) against a 24 year old husband for making his 17 year old wife pregnant.

 
According to police,a young girl came to the Government Women and Child hospital for pregnancy check-up.When it came to know that she is two months pregnant,hospital authorities checked her age and found that she is 17 years old and a minor.
 
Following this the Child Welfare Committee was informed of the incident and they in turn directed the police to investigate.
 
Odeon Saalai police which investigated found that the 17 year old girl was married and they registered a POCSO case against her husband Jayaraman and are on the look out for him.

LPolice registered a case under Prevention of Child Sexual Offence (POCSO )against a man for marrying a minor girl and making her pregnant on Friday last week.
 
According to police, Dinesh (23) a cooking vessel vendor, admitted his wife for delivery at the Rajiv Gandhi Women and Child hospital here last evening.
 
On verifying the age of the girl, it was proven that she is not yet completed 18 years of age. Following this the hospital authorities informed the Child Welfare Committee who in turn informed the Mangalam police.
 
Police said that Dinesh was in love with the girl,who is his relative and they married with the blessings of both the families.Mangalam police registered a case under POCSO against Dinesh.(UNI)
