Post Sabzar death, School activites remain suspended in Valley

Srinagar: Class work in all educational institutions remains suspended today as a precautionary measure in the Kashmir Valley. Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, in an order issued last evening said that class work in all the schools, Higher Secondary Institutions and Colleges of Kashmir Valley shall remain suspended today as a precautionary measure.

Both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), spearheading the agitation have called for “ Tral Challo”. The educational institutions however, remained closed in the Kashmir Valley due to separatist strike for the past two days.
After the killing of Sabzar, educational institutions had suspended classes immediately and students were sent home on Saturday. The Kashmir University, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) have already postponed all examinations. (UNI)
