Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Olympiads Sakshi Mallik and Dipa Karmakar receive Padma awards

New Delhi: Olympiads Sakshi Mallik and Deepa Karmakar were among the Padma award winners, who received the prestigious honours at the hands of President Pranab Mukherjee, here today. Both the sportspersons were honoured with the Padma Shri awards.

President also gave away Padma Bhushan to Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt from Rajasthan for Arts and Music. Among others, who received the awards at a glittering function at Rashtrapati Bhawan, include journalist and columnist Cho Ramaswamy and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Sunder Lal Patwa (both posthumous).
