Punjab: Amritsar man hacks mother, sister-in-law, 2.5-year-old nephew to death; surrenders at police station

Amritsar: In a tragic incident that has shocked the residents of Kandowali village in Ajnala, Punjab, a 35-year-old man has been taken into custody by the police for the alleged murder of three members of his family.
 
The victims have been identified as his mother, Manbir Kaur, his sister-in-law, Avneet Kaur, and his two-and-a-half-year-old nephew, Samrath.
 
The horrifying event unfolded Wednesday night when Amritpal Singh reportedly carried out the brutal killings at their residence.
 
Following the disturbing act, Singh made his way to the local police station and presented himself to the authorities.
 
Providing additional details, the police revealed that the brother of the accused resides in Dubai, while the rest of the family, including the victims, lived in Amritsar.
 
The motive behind this heinous crime is yet to be determined, as the investigation is still underway.
